Curation
Filling public spaces with artworks that create a welcoming atmosphere and transform them into places of inspiration is one of my passions. I find great joy in understanding my clients' wishes, developing a suitable concept for them, and implementing it. This requires me to listen carefully, to be aware of how the space is used, to have a vivid imagination, to work closely with the client, and to possess creative potential in developing spatial concepts and their final realization.
As an artist and gallery owner, I know many artists and can incorporate works from my own collection or new ones created specifically for the space, as well as works from other artists of diverse styles.
Have you ever entered a building or a room and been struck by the atmosphere, whether positive or negative? A work of art, such as a painting, a sculpture, or an installation, has a profound influence on the atmosphere of a room. It can be depressing or uplifting, boring or inspiring, unsettling or calming.
If you wish to transform your professional environment or private space through art, I would be happy to support you with consultation and curatorial services. I look forward to giving your spaces a new, inspiring expression that reflects your wishes.
Fachinternisten Aschaffenburg
Doctor's Office, since November 2021
Since 2021, I have been working as the artistic director for the Internal Medicine Specialists in Aschaffenburg. Their very large doctor's office has a focus on oncology and diabetology, with various examination, treatment, and consultation rooms, as well as several waiting areas. My role is to conceive and implement exhibitions that change approximately every two years. The artworks are intended to be calming, hopeful, and encouraging. I have curated two large exhibitions with up to 105 original works by various artists, which were rented for the duration of the exhibition. Over time, some of the exhibited works were purchased for permanent display. For the most recent exhibition, the client requested the inclusion of art prints of paintings.
Nursing Home Neu-Isenburg
Farewell Room, January 2018
The farewell room of the nursing home is located in the basement and was a mousy grey and cold room with a barred window. In 2017, I was commissioned to transform it into a warm and welcoming space where mourners could say goodbye to their loved ones in a comforting atmosphere. This was a comprehensive interior design project, with the exception of the flooring.
